Ruth holds a masters degree in piano from Cairo conservatory of music. She has performed as a soloist and worked as piano accompanist with Alexandria Symphony Orchestra and as a Percussionist at Alex Chamber Orchestra. Ruth studied classical singing after years of performing Classic, Jazz, pop and rock music with various bands. Her performances have been featured in several classical Egyptian and French TV shows. Ruth has toured Egypt, France and Italy as a singer and classical piano performer. Since she moved to America, she became the music director and the worship leader of several big churches in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas. Her passion is to prepare her students to be either concert pianists or worship leaders. Ruth offers a spectrum of opportunities to her students, from classic, jazz, rock, pop to early music. All of her students perform and compete regularly locally and nationally. Ruth strives to teach her students a wide range of musical interest and talents. All of her students develop their musical knowledge and skill in various musical disciplines of sight reading, improvisation and composing their own music.
As a professional singer, Ruth teaches in both technique and coaching for classical and non-classical repertoire students including pop, folk, rock, gospel and jazz. Students learn to use their voices safely and effectively opening up tone and strengthening sound and correcting flaws in pitch and quality while working on repertoire of student’s choosing. Ruth accepts all levels and all ages (beginner, intermediate and advance) through a credited curriculum that is recognized nationally and internationally.
